N.V. Sabine Godme Champagne Succesion Premier Cru formally Brut Reserve

$39.99
N.V. Sabine Godme Champagne Succesion Premier Cru formally Brut Reserve

We have a great one today from Sabine Godme a fifth-generation Champagne grower based in the village of Verzenay in the Montagne de Reims. The family has managed vineyards covering about 11 hectares, mainly in premier and grand cru sites, since the 1930s. Sabine Godmé, who took over in 2006, adheres to a sustainable, hands-on approach in the vineyards, practicing minimal intervention in winemaking to highlight terroir characteristics. The Brut Réserve is a blend of 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier. Fifty percent of the juice is reserve wines dating back a decade or more which gives this cuvee added depth and consistency. This shows beautiful aromas of tangy citrus, green apple, brioche, and lots of liquid minerals. The palate is suave, has lovely reticence and texture, and finished with the perfect dosage to give the champagne great balance. Once you have a glass, it's hard to stop drinking it and its a great bottle for the holidays! It's also a rare find, and we have USA low pricing and the only bottles on the West Coast.
