We have special pricing on Billecart Salmon's Rose in Magnum available. As we always say, Champagne in magnum just has a slight edge over regular or small bottles, and it is no exception here. One of the most impressive Grande Marque roses, this is a staple and not to miss at this special pre-arrival pricing.
One of Billecart-Salmon's most popular and recognized cuvee's, the non-vintage Brut Rose, is a brilliant Champagne. A fine-tuned gem and the workhorse Cuvee of the House, tactile and refined with a delicious expression of fruit, spice, and beautiful minerality. The blend here is 40% Chardonnay with 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Munier, 40% of which comes from reserve wine. Vinified in stainless steel tanks before spending 36 months aging on the lees. We were able to get some magnums at great pricing, which is the ultimate format for this Cuvee, retaining more freshness with a higher potential for aging. This is always a go-to rose, making for an excellent aperitif and pairs very well with shellfish and Sushi.
Decanter 93 points! "Vivid, almost luscious strawberry aromas. Flecks of nutmeg and clove spice amid the lively, refreshing fruit on its slender, fresh body. A real joyful classic."
Vinous (Neil Martin) 92 points! "We started with a demi-bouteille of Billecart-Salmon Rosé: a safe option, but it does the job, even though I would say that a full bottle is better."
John Gilman 92 points! "Billecart-Salmon is probably most famous for their excellent bottling of non-vintage Brut Rosé, and the new bottling is another superb wine. The cépages is comprised of forty percent chardonnay, twenty percent pinot meunier and thirty-five percent pinot noir, with eight percent of the pinot noir included as still wine to give this wine its lovely, pale salmon color. The dosage is slightly higher here, but still judicious at nine grams per liter. The bouquet is pure and vibrant, wafting from the glass in a mix of tangerine, almonds, smoke, lovely minerality, wheat toast and dried flowers. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and very focused, with a fine core, racy, zesty acids and great cut and grip on the long and beautifully balanced finish."
