Here is another fun-sized bottle of Champagne, which continues to be a sought after format for ourselves and clients for its convenience. This is a Grand Cru blend from the Lamiable family, who planted their first vines in Tours Sur Marne in the 1950s. This cuvee follows their historical blend of 60% Pinot Noir from Bouzy and 40% Chardonnay from Tours sur Marne along with 40% wine from an old perpetual reserve. This Cuvee spends at 24 to 30 months on the lees, and there are only 2,000 bottles made annually compared to the 35,000 750ml's they produce. This has plush effervescence with an expressive nose of ripe red fruits, citrus, and nice minerality. The palate is energetic, balancing the richness and finishing very long. It is a gorgeous bottle that makes an excellent aperitif and also has the weight to carry into some lighter main dishes. Terre D'Etoiles is a very enjoyable Champagne, and we have some of the only bottles of this Cuvee in the world.
