This is the first time we have offered any of the Champagnes from Michel Furdyna. With prices in Champagne constantly on the rise, it is important to continue to offer excellent values. Michel Furdyna is a small family-owned independent vigneron founded in the 70s based in Celles sur Ource in the heart of Cote de Bar with vines also in the communes of Gyé sur Seine, Landreville, Loches sur Ource, Neuville sur Seine and Plaines Saint Lange, located just above the Aube. Vitifulcute here has always been on the side of the environment with Terra Vitis and High Environmental Value certifications displaying love for their land.
Michel Furdyna makes about ten cuvees, but the Carte Blanche is one of the staples of the line up providing an excellent look at the craftmanship of the Champagnes of Furdyna at pricing we rarely see in Champagne anymore. The Carte Blanche is made with the common varietals of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier but also includes some Pinot Blanc, Which we typically only see in Champagnes from the Aube. It is an elegant Champagne that shows some cool orchard fruits, citrus, and floral complexity with lovely balance with a moderate dosage of 7 grams. It's a beautiful Champagne and outperforms bottles at twice the price. A delightful and impressive value for Champagne, we have the only bottles of the Furdyna Carte Blanche available in the USA, and it's a top value not to miss.
