A new grower for us from Mesnil-Sur-Oger, the Pertois-Moriset label, was created in the early 50s when Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset decided to start making Champagne. The estate is now run by their granddaughter Cecile and her Husband vincent owning 13 hectares in the Cote de Blancs and 7 hectares in the Cote Sezanne, all of which are farmed organically. This Cuvee is 70-80% from 2014 sourced from 4 parcels throughout Oger with the rest made up of reserve wine this spends two years on the lees and sees a dosage of 2 g/l. A gorgeous and pure bottle of bubbles from Oger, with expressive fruit and minerality. This is a rare Cuvee and hardly, if ever, makes it to US shores.
