NV Stephane Coquillette Champagne Cuvee Diane

$39.99
NV Stephane Coquillette Champagne Cuvee Diane
Stéphane Coquillette is a fourth-generation winemaker in Champagne. His father, Christian, has been running the Saint Chamant Champagne house since 1950, which are incredible Champagnes in their own right. Stephane started his own domaine at 25, and produces more elegant, and drier Champagnes than his father. His vineyards are located in Chouilly for Chardonnay, Aÿ, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ for Pinot Noir. He works organically in his vineyards, by hand, and he has ten different parcels he farms and owns. The Cuvee Dianne is 100% Chardonnay from vines planted in 1964. It is comprised of both Grand Cru, and Premier Cru vineyards with a perfect dosage of 5g/l. This wine showcases the elegant side of the Chardonnay grape with very fine bubbles, citrus, apple, minerals, and a touch of brioche. The balance is perfect here for it goes down way to easy, with a zippy finish of minerality, and lots of dry extract. This is one of the top NV’s we have tasted this year, and it really delivers a lot of quality for the price. A must buy for the Champagne Connoisseur!
