$149.94
2018 Dutton Estate Chardonnay Kyndall’s Reserve Russian River [Pack of 6]
Pack of 6
The Dutton estate is one of the great Chardonnay vineyards in the Russian River Valley of California. The Dutton family sells most of their fruit to other producers such as Kistler, Patz & Hall, Dumol, J A X, Capiaux, Chappellet, Mac Rostie, Lewis, Merry Edwards, and many more. All toll they sell fruit to about sixty different wineries. Joe Dutton's passion is vineyard management, and he can be seen in the vineyard working the vines with his father Warren. The Dutton estate is quite large, planted to about 1200 acres, and Joe gets to pick some of the best rows for his wines. The average price of producer's Dutton Ranch Chardonnay is close to $60 a bottle, so to buy Joe's version for $25 is a screaming deal!
2018 Is a more classic vintage or California, and we love the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from this vintage. The 2018 Dutton Estate Chardonnay is exceptional, sourced from the Wente 4 clone Chardonnay. Fermentation takes place in a mix of concrete eggs, oak, and stainless steel. The concrete egg portion does not go through Malolactic fermentation, giving the wine a lovely freshness. This is classic Russian River Chardonnay with aromas of apple, quince, stone fruit blossoms, lemon curd, vanilla, and a touch of baking spices. The palate is ample with incredible depth, balance, and power with linger notes and flavors of apple, toast, butterscotch, and liquid minerals. The winery price is $42, and our price at $24.99 is a rocking deal, and this would be a great holiday party cellar saver for those looking ahead.

Wine Advocate (Erin Brooks) 93 points! "The 2018 Chardonnay Kyndall's Reserve opens with white peaches, honeysuckle, crushed hazelnuts, and honeyed notes. Medium-bodied, it's packed with savory flavors in a creamy, fresh frame, and it finishes long and loaded with fruit. 942 cases were produced."
