The Meursault Genevrières from Latour Giraud is incredible, and we've sold more of this cuvee than any other when it comes to Meursault. We have the very exciting new release of this fan favorite, which is even better than the fantastic '22 and contender for the top example of Meursault Genevrières this vintage. Latour Giraud is a classic domaine with family roots dating back to 1680 in Meursault, with a brief stint producing marc de Bourgogne at the Hospices of Mersault before transitioning to wine. Today, Jean-Pierre Latour heads this 10-hectare estate, which holds one of the most significant portions of Meursault Genevrières, owning 2.5 hectares of the 16-hectare vineyard. The 2023 is textbook Genevrières with incredible complexity and excellent dynamics between the classic richness of Meursault and its energetic acidity. It's a beautiful bottle of Genevières, and indeed the best example ever, which will only get better with time. Stunning juice, with a great note from Jasper Morris, this is a top buy for Meursault Genevrières that is not to be missed!
Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy) 93-96 points! "Mid yellow, with a really beautiful succulent nose, picked at perfect ripeness, and not hiding the delicacy and detail of fine Genevrières. Some lime, some verbena, delicate fresh apples, back to the lime blossom, then a really fine boned framework on the palate. Tingles the tastebuds in the most delicious way. A beautifully crafted 2023 Genevrières."
