We have a new product from exceptional truffle purveyors, Savini Tartufi, a company founded in the 20s, this time featuring the most sought after and precious truffle, Tuber magnatum Pico, or the White Truffle. Savini Tartufi's harvest of white truffles takes precedence over any of the other truffles and is considered an essential part of the year's harvest. The white truffle is only ripe between September and December and is extremely rare but has the most expressive and deep truffle flavor, tasting more concentrated than a black truffle. White truffle usually has a huge price tag due to its rarity, and it takes a bit of a madman to put one of the earth's most precious and delicious creations into salt, but the Savini family did. We've honestly never seen a certified white truffle featured in a product like this; in fact, we really only seen them at very nice restaurants. This salt is powerfully fragrant and is like Umami for your nose, with expressive and deep earthy truffle aromas followed by a wild garlic note that adds to the beautiful perfume. The flavor is mellow and builds with intensity creating a fragrant and savory effect that only comes from white truffles.
