We have some of this set to arrive between late April and early May. It is a fantastic effort for this Cuvee, and from what we have tasted, it's the best release of the Grand Vintage ever. Because we work directly with Jose Michel, we have the only bottles available in the USA. This is not a bottle to miss. See our original offer below. We have been awaiting the Grand Vintage release from Jose Michel, which is one of the Best Buys in Champagne. Following the same formula as the Special Club with a blend of 50% Pinot Meunier and 50% Chardonnay. Jose released some of these bottles for us after being on the lees for nearly eight years. Floral and very precise on the nose with toasted almonds and stone fruit. The palate has a beautiful richness from the excellent Pinot Meunier with an added elegance and delicate touch from the Chardonnay. The Grand Vintage sees partial oak fermentation, and it's the best example we have tasted of the Cuvee ever. A crowd-pleaser Champagne perfect for a house pour and quite age-worthy as well with some great notes on some older bottles from Richard Juhlin!
