We love the wines from Arterberry Maresh, and the newly released 2024 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is another standout from this excellent Oregon address and one of the best values in the lineup. Third-generation winemaker Jim Maresh has built his reputation on low-intervention winemaking, organic-minded farming, and letting the fruit and volcanic soils of the Dundee Hills speak clearly, producing wines with the balance and refinement to compete with bottles at twice the price or more. The 2024 is one of the best examples of Dundee Hills of all time, made from fruit from Maresh Vineyard, Weber Vineyard, and another old-vine, high-elevation neighboring site, and Jim describes it as a particularly classic expression of the Dundee Hills. We recently tasted it and were very impressed, as the 2024s feel especially classic for Oregon, with a lovely high-toned character, bright red fruit, floral notes, and subtle spice carried by excellent freshness, fine tannins, and beautiful overall balance. At around 13% alcohol, it has the elegant, energetic feel we love in Jim’s wines while still offering enough depth, texture, and complexity to keep it interesting. This is incredibly easy to drink now, but far from simple, and once again ranks among the best buys for Oregon Pinot Noir in its price range. It's a terrific bottle for fans of both Old World and New World Pinot and comes highly recommended!

With roughly 2,500 cases produced, the 2024 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills pours a bright ruby hue and is wonderfully pure, with aromas of bright cherries, wild raspberries, cranberries, cinnamon, and tangerine. Medium-bodied, it has terrific tension, refined tannins, fresh orange citrus, and outstanding elegance through the finish. It's simply delicious and one of my wines of the year. Drink now or over the coming decade. Drink 2026-2036.
Vinous (Eric Guido) 93 pts! The 2024 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is vibrant in the glass, as a wave of crushed raspberries combines with sweet lavender, cedar box and hints of orange sorbet. It splashes across the palate with pure cherry juice, vibrant and succulent, with contrasting tart citrus inflections that pinch at the cheeks. The 2024 tapers off with tension, leaving the cheeks puckered and the mouth watering for more as nuances of tart cranberry linger. (Drink between 2027 - 2033)
