Today, we have two excellent premier cru red Burgundies with age, released ex-cellar directly from Pierre de Crillon in pristine condition. The 2005 and 2009 Fonteny are two great examples of this Gevrey premier cru sourced from a compact ~3.7 ha slope just below the grand crus near Ruchottes, on stony limestone that gives lifted red fruit, floral spice, and excellent minerality.
