2012 Guy Larmandier Champagne Signé François Vieilles Vignes Blanc de Blancs

$79.99
2012 Guy Larmandier Champagne Signé François Vieilles Vignes Blanc de Blancs

In the early days of Envoyer, the Signe Francois from Guy Larmandier was one of our best sellers and ultimate buys for vintage Grand Cru Blancs de Blancs. We are bringing it back, and we have a great price today on the 2012 release, which is close to what we used to offer many years ago. Guy Larmadier's Champagnes are very vineyard-driven and incredible examples of Blanc de Blancs sourced from Vertus, with the Signe Francois at the top of the list. Sourced from their oldest vines, this spent 12 years on the lees before disgorgement and was released last year. This is showing wonderfully now and is an excellent Grand Cru Côte de Blancs Champagne, very mineral and saline, and quite reminiscent of a Grand Cru Chablis with bubbles. Tremendous energy with brioche, stone fruit, and a chalky finish. The fruit here has the perfect level of ripeness and is so pristine and pure that you would never know there was no dosage, which adds an extra level of transparency that is very impressive. Every time we try this Champagne, we remember how good it is, and it is one of the few addresses that likes to release its wines when they are ready rather than on a set schedule. We have low pricing here today, and it gets our highest recommendation!
