2022 Jean-Claude Ramonet Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Blanc

$189.99
2022 Jean-Claude Ramonet Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Blanc

Jean-Claude Ramonet's Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Blanc is a very rare find that has only been in the lineup since 2014. En Remilly from a high, stony slope tucked above the Montrachet/Chevalier-Montrachet sector, where thin chalk-limestone and south/southeast exposure favor tension over weight. In 2022, it was ripe and sunny, yet picked somewhat early to preserve the drive. The fruit was whole-cluster pressed, fermented with native yeasts in French oak and raised ~12–14 months (about 20–25% new), minimal bâtonnage, and a light filtration to keep the site front and center. The profile is precise and energetic, showing lemon oil, white peach, and crisp pear with citrus blossom, a discreet Ramonet signature mint/anise note, subtle almond, and flinty reduction. While this can be enjoyed relatively young, it gains hazelnut and honeyed depth with age. It's a top-tier En Remilly that outperforms many Puligny/Chassagne peers for the money.
