Señora de las Alturas comes from the Pontigos parcel in Fitero, near the Alhama River, with pre-phylloxera Garnacha vines often cited as up to 140 years old! The 2024 vintage in Navarra was lower-yielding and shaped by spring and late-summer rains, but the region reported very good grape maturity and freshness, which suits this style well. This is not heavy, jammy Garnacha; it is high-toned, mineral, and lively, with red fruit, spice, floral lift, earthy nuance, and a stony finish that gives Châteauneuf-du-Pape a run for its money.
