N.V. Brimoncourt Champagne Brut Régence

$59.99
N.V. Brimoncourt Champagne Brut Régence

A new Champagne find, the Brimoncourt Régence is a polished, Chardonnay-driven Champagne that delivers impressive freshness, refinement, and style for the money. Based in Aÿ, Brimoncourt is a modern Champagne house with an elegant, contemporary identity, focused on purity, fine texture, and bright drinkability rather than heavy oxidative richness. Brut Régence is the house’s signature cuvée, composed of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, with the Chardonnay bringing lift, citrus, white flowers, and mineral freshness, while the Pinot Noir adds just enough roundness, structure, and fruit. The wine is vinified in stainless steel to preserve clarity and is aged 48 months on the lees, giving it more texture and depth than most entry-level non-vintage Champagnes. A 6 g/L dosage keeps the balance drier and refined, with a clear golden robe, fine bubbles, floral aromatics, white peach, citrus, light toast, and a clean, elegant finish. This is an excellent aperitif Champagne, but it has enough polish and substance to work beautifully with fish tartare, smoked salmon, poached white fish, scallops, cured meats, Parmesan, or lighter cheeses. This recently won Platinum at the Decanter World Wine Awards, which is conducted blind, confirming it's a serious bottle for the money!

Decanter Wine World Awards, Platinum Medal, 97 points! "Blissful reams of orchard fruit, baked lemon pie and toasted biscuits glide across the nose giving way to a bright citrus effervescence and stylish mineral frame. Superbly driven and energetic; an outstanding example of non-vintage Champagne."
