The 2020 is a beautiful wine that shows well right out of the gates with ample fruit and lovely balance. Though it's less classic of a vintage, Produttori can get the most out of each year, and this certainly has classical elements to it but with a bit more body.The Barbaresco Normale from Produttori is a beautiful snapshot of their production for the vintage and is always released before the crus. This is a knockout example that we always recommend and is a top buy of the vintage. It was an exhilarating vintage for Produttori, with one of the biggest scores ever.

As always, the wine paints an exciting and authentic portrait of Nebbiolo, albeit with a little more richness and texture in this vintage. This is especially true in terms of the palate, where the wine offers mid-weight intensity with melting tannins. This ambitious release of 300,000 bottles is slated to hit the market in fall 2023."
