The last call for this great bottle, we have a few cases of Vilmart's Coeur de Cuvee still available, and it has the potential to be on the podium with some of the best vintages ever from Vilmart. These are our last bottles at this friendly pricing, and with the Grand Cellier d'Or, which is technically a lesser wine, getting a 94+ from William Kelly, an excellent score is sure to come for the Coeur de Cuvee. Take advantage of these last bottles in stock!
2014 is the newest edition of the Coeur de Cuvee from Vilmart, and it looks to be another astonishing Champagne from this seasoned grower. We have tasted almost every vintage of the Coeur de Cuvee since 1992, and it has shown us Vilmart's nack for consistency. Even in vintages that arent as praised, winemaker Laurent Champs, seems always to do the impossible and brings out the best of the vintage. The Coeur de Cuvee is a blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir from 60-year-old vines from the domaines best vineyards. This is the free-run juice collected during the pre-pressing, considered the best, and is only used for this Cuvee. This Champagne did not go through Malolactic fermentation and spent ten months aging in barrel and then 70 more months in bottle before Vilmart released it with a dosage of 7g/l. This is the pinnacle of Vilmart's Champagne making and is one of the first shots at this new release. William Kelley gave the Grand Cellier d'Or 94+ points, a lesser bottle indicating that the 2014 Coeur de Cuvee should be sensational and one of the best of all time and possibly one of the best examples of the vintage.
