2015 Pol Roger Champagne Brut Rosé

$99.99
2015 Pol Roger Champagne Brut Rosé
We have a small reload of this incredible Champagne from Pol Roger after selling out very quickly last week. One of the top renditions of the Vintage Rose here of all time, this is a fantastic buy for the category, and we have a bit more at our same low pricing. If you missed out or want to double down, now is the time!

The vintage Rose from Pol Roger is fantastic, and 2015 is another brilliant vintage from this famous Champagne house, making for one of the best examples of this cuvee of all time. Here we see the same traditional blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, a standard for Pol Roger's Rose. This goes through a very slow and cold fermentation and completely finishes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tank. Before bottling, 15% of house-made still red wine is added to give the Champagne its signature salmon-pink color. The generous dose of Pinot Noir really drives this home with magnificent fresh red fruits, flowers, brioche, and spice. Concentrated and elegant with great attack, balance, power, and an explosive finish, 2015 is in line with the fantastic 2012 and is one of the best buys when it comes to Rose from one of the Grand Marque addresses, especially when pricing is considered.
The 2015 is showing very well now and is an exceptional iteration of this much-loved cuvee; in fact, this is one of the best wines Pol Roger made this vintage with the much more expensive Tete de cuvee, Sir Winston Churchill bottling only receiving a slightly higher score of 94+ from William Kelley in 2015. This is the best buy for Pol Roger this vintage and an exceptional Rose worth grabbing at this low pricing.

Wine Advocate (William Kelley) 94 points! "Fleshy and dramatic, Pol Roger's 2015 Brut Rosé bursts with aromas of plums, red berries, blanched almonds and subtle hints of tangerine oil. On the palate, it's full-bodied, broad and enveloping, with an elegantly muscular, vinous profile, its fleshy core of fruit girdled by bright acids and delicately chalky structuring extract. This is an especially gastronomic rosé from this house, and it should age with style given its concentration and depth. (2021 - 2035)"

Antonio Galloni 93 points! "The 2015 Brut Rosé is compelling. Far from an easygoing Champagne, the 2015 Rosé possesses striking depth and layers of fruit that open beautifully with a bit of time in the glass. Crushed flowers, raspberry, blood orange, mint and spice all run through a substantial, super-expressive Rosé from Pol Roger that is ideally suited to the dinner table. Disgorged: November 2021. Dosage is 7 grams per liter."
