Shipetto is one of our favorite producers in Fruili, and while the 'M' Cuvee reigns supreme, its a tad pricey. Pinot Grigio is not something we offer, but after tasting this, we really enjoyed it. This has that Shiopetto touch, which is slightly more sophisticated than what is typical of Pinot Grigio with Green apple, pear, white strawberry, Tuscan melon, and some mineral and staw notes in the background. The palate has refreshing energy and finishing with a leesy note. A great quaff that still has a serious edge is an excellent way to get your foot in the door for wines from Schiopetto and is also a very nice example of Pinot Grigio.
