2020 Domaine Amiot Guy et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets

$99.99
2020 Domaine Amiot Guy et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets
We have a lovely vintage of Caillerets from Amiot today at this low pricing. Amiot is a traditional Chassagne-based domain with a strong focus on white wines. The Domaine was founded in 1920 and has been family-owned since then. Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets is one of Amiot's oldest vineyards at 80 years old and is consistently one of their top wines, which is certainly true in 2020 when it was only bested by Les Demoiselles, which is about twice the price. It is a beautiful bottle that is only getting better with age; there is an impeccable balance between power and finesse with mesmerizing depth here and gorgeous minerality shining through. This is the best buy for 2020 Caillerets right now and is a fantastic example of this vintage and vineyard under the $100 mark. We don't see a lot of Amiot come to the States, so it's an honor to offer this back vintage, so don't miss it!

Burghound 91-93 pts!  Firm reduction renders the nose unreadable today. More revealing are the rich, generous and full-bodied flavors that possess outstanding intensity along with ample minerality on the impressively long, very dry and lingering finale that is shaped by green apple-inflected acidity. (Drink starting 2028)
