Winemaker Sylvie operates out of Gevrey-Chambertin, with 8 hectares of vines spread across various levels. Known for her meticulous approach, Sylvie crafts wines that reflect the unique terroir and distinct characteristics of each vineyard. Embracing sustainable practices and minimal intervention, the wines here are elegant and expressive. The Gevrey-Chambertin VV is one of the finest Gevrey village wines produced. The fruit for this cuvee is from some very old vines that are 80+ years old on average, giving some excellent old vine concentration and sappiness. There is outstanding depth and density here, but the lovely acidity brings energy and balance to the wine. Finishing with a long, dry extract that lingers for a minute, this is a fantastic, highly recommended bottle of Burgundy, and at this low price, it's a great buy!

Burghound 92 pts! "Discreet wood influence sets off ripe and very fresh aromas of black cherry, spice, violet and a whiff of the sauvage. The succulent and notably denser medium weight plus flavors flash focused power on the youthfully austere, firm and balanced finale. As it usually does, this fine effort boxes well above its weight.
