We have a bit more of this Best Buy Grand Cru Chablis from Servin available at our same low pricing. Les Preuses is one of the top wines from Servin and the best buy for Grand Cru Chablis of the 2022 vintage. The Grand Crus from here are rare, and we have a limited amount of the Preuses. 2022 is another not-to-miss vintage from Domaine Servin, who has been on a roll, solidifying their place among some of the best-buy producers of Chablis. Servin has been producing some of the top values in Chablis and has been very consistent, with 2022 having the potential to be on par with some of the greatest of all time. It was an excellent vintage for Chablis, and though it was warm, yields were moderate, and the all-important high acidity signature of these wines is ever-present. The vines for Servins Preuses are some of the oldest of the Domaine at almost 70 years old, planted on the textbook Kimmeridgian marl and clay. Servin works just over half a hectare of this vineyard, making it a limited production. Elegant, fresh, vibrant, and palate-staining, this beautiful bottle of Les Preuses stands up to some of the giants of Chablis on par with Fevre and Dauvissat this vintage for considerably less. We have the only bottles of this new release available in the USA, and it makes our list for one of the top Grand Cru Chablis buys of the vintage.
Vinous (Neil Martin) 93-95 points! "The 2022 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru is matured entirely in used barrels, the youngest two years old. The nose has a very appealing sense of cohesion, a subtle grilled hazelnut scent coming through with time. The palate is well-balanced with a slightly honeyed entry, citrus peel and orange pith. It fans out impressively towards the finish and feels very persistent in the mouth. This will tangle with the Bougros for supremacy once in bottle."
Burghound 92-94 points! "A reserved but exceptionally pretty nose somewhat grudgingly offers up its aromas of notably spicier white orchard fruit and cool floral whiffs along with hints of shrimp shell and iodine. There is better volume still if perhaps not quite the same minerality on the strikingly textured and hugely long finish that offers just a bit more complexity. This is excellent and worth considering. (Drink starting 2032)"
