Raj Par reached out to us the other day and asked if we would be interested in offering the 2022 Grenache Rose he is making at Stolo called Chet & Betty. Seeing how much we have loved the wines here and how well they have been received by our clients, we jumped at the opportunity. This is another master class example from Raj Par, who has completed his second vintage by himself at Stolo as winemaker after starting in 2019. Raj has an incredible palate from being a Somallier for many years, and he thinks this is one of the best regions in California for growing grapes. While this isn't their normal Chardonnay or Pinot Noir offering, it's a beautiful example of Grenache rose named after Chet and Betty, the first two goats that lived on the Stolo property for over fifteen years. It is a lovely Grenache rose showing lovely notes of red fruits, blood orange, and kumquat. The palate is equally beautiful, with bright fruit, minerality, salinity, and tons of dry extract on the finish. This is a very European-inspired rose and represents incredible value, warranting a case purchase just in time for the upcoming summer months.
