Domaine du Château de Meursault has been an excellent source for Burgundy, and with new ownership about a decade ago, these wines have never been better. We have the new release of the Charmes Dessus, which has consistently been one of the top buys for the vineyard over the past few years, with '23 being another fantastic example that is a contender for the best of all time. The winemaking process here melds tradition with modernity, employing meticulous vineyard management and careful aging in French oak barrels (about 33% new for this wine) to produce wines that reflect the unique terroir of each plot. The Charmes Dessus comes from the sought-after upper part of the Charmes vineyard and produces wines with a bit more quality, giving it a leg up over the regular bottling of Charmes. This has been one of our favorites in the category for some time, and Jasper Morris is one of the only people to taste these wines every vintage, with '23 being one of the highest scores he has ever given this wine. This has just been released, and we have low pricing on a limited amount. It comes highly recommended for those who love white Burgundy!

However the further back you go on the palate, the more it delivers in completeness yet with immaculate balance. Drink from 2029-2036. Tasted Oct 2024."
