John Gilman 93+  The 2024 Chablis “Montée de Tonnerre” from Domaine Servin is also entirely tank-raised and production here was also down by two-thirds in this very short vintage. The wine is already beautifully expressive on the nose, hopping from the glass in a mix of lemon, pear, apple, paraffin, a complex foundation of chalky soil tones and a floral topnote redolent of lemon blossoms. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused, racy and shows off superb depth of pure fruit at the core, with fine backend mineral drive, buried acids and excellent balance on the long and complex finish.
