Diebolt-Vallois Cuvee Prestige has become a customer favorite and a favorite of ours. When we tasted at Diebolt Vallois, we were blown away by the quality of all the Champagnes. The Cuvee Prestige is like a baby 'Fleur de Passion,' Diebolt-Vallois's Tete de Cuvee. The Chardonnay for this Blanc de Blancs is sourced from three Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Chouilly, and Le Mesnil. The Cuvee Prestige is also a blend of 2014 & 2013 vintages plus some added older juice via Solera back to the 2008 vintage, with a dosage of 4 grams. This Champagne sees some oak casks, which gives some added richness. The Prestige has a focused minerality from the chalk ladened soils the vines are grown on with incredible focus and clarity. This is a crisp Champagne, as some have noted on cellar tracker, which tends to be the style of Diebolt Vallois in its youth, but with age, they tend to round out, get more depth, and complexity.
