NV Liebart-Regnier Champagne Brut Rosé

$39.99
NV Liebart-Regnier Champagne Brut Rosé

We just tasted this rosé yesterday with a great client who almost exclusively drinks Champagne, and we all thought it was a fantastic, crowd-pleasing rosé, but with enough character to appeal to those who are a bit fanatical about Champagne, like we are. Founded in 1960 by Lucien Liébart and Georgette Régnier, Liébart-Régnier is a family grower in the Vallée de la Marne farming about 11 ha across 35 parcels in Vauciennes and Baslieux-sous-Châtillon, certified HVE/VDC and in organic conversion since 2020. Their NV Brut Rosé is a precise blend of roughly 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Meunier, and 15% Chardonnay, vinified in stainless steel with malolactic and aged about three years on lees; it marries the generosity of recent ripe harvests (notably 2018) with the cut of cooler years to keep the profile fresh and appealing. In the glass, it presents notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, blood orange, orange zest, red plum, a gentle floral lift, and delicious autolytic pastry notes. On the palate, the 7 g/L dosage hits the sweet spot, delivering excellent focus and balance with a dynamic interplay of richness, acidity, fruit, a touch of umami, and minerality with a long red fruit finish with a touch of dry extract. Highly recommended, this is an excellent new find for Rose Champagne and a great buy at this low pricing!
