2022 Domaine Servin Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses

$69.99
2022 Domaine Servin Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses

These are the last bottles of this Best Buy Grand Cru Chablis from Servin available at the same low price we have to offer. Les Preuses is one of the top wines from Servin and the best buy for Grand Cru Chablis of the 2022 vintage. The Grand Crus from here are rare, and 2022 is another not-to-miss vintage from Domaine Servin, which continues to make some of the best buys in the appellation. Servin has been consistent these past few vintages, and 2022 has the potential to be on par with some of the greatest of all time. It was an excellent vintage for Chablis, and though it was warm, yields were moderate, and the all-important high-acidity signature of these wines was ever-present. The vines for Servins Preuses are among the oldest in the Domaine, at almost 70 years old, planted on the textbook Kimmeridgian marl and clay. Servin works just over half a hectare in this vineyard, resulting in very limited production in the lineup. Elegant, fresh, vibrant, and palate-staining, this beautiful bottle of Les Preuses is on par with Fevre and Dauvissat this vintage for considerably less. We have low pricing on this one today by a considerable amount, and it's simply the best buy for Grand Cru Chablis this vintage!

Vinous (Neil Martin) 93-95 points! "The 2022 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru is matured entirely in used barrels, the youngest two years old. The nose has a very appealing sense of cohesion, a subtle grilled hazelnut scent coming through with time. The palate is well-balanced with a slightly honeyed entry, citrus peel and orange pith. It fans out impressively towards the finish and feels very persistent in the mouth. This will tangle with the Bougros for supremacy once in bottle."

Burghound 92-94 points! "A reserved but exceptionally pretty nose somewhat grudgingly offers up its aromas of notably spicier white orchard fruit and cool floral whiffs along with hints of shrimp shell and iodine. There is better volume still if perhaps not quite the same minerality on the strikingly textured and hugely long finish that offers just a bit more complexity. This is excellent and worth considering. (Drink starting 2032)"
