2021 Domaine Robert Chevillon Bourgogne

$49.99
2021 Domaine Robert Chevillon Bourgogne
We have a bit of the 2021 Bourgogne Rouge from Chevillon today at this low pricing. The 2021s here are fantastic examples of these Nuits St. George favorites. 2021 was another challenging vintage for Burgundy. It was a wet year that was met with hail, significantly reducing the yields of the vintage. Vignerons had to be very proactive this vintage, but what remained was good quality, and because it was an overall cooler year, the wines are a bit more classic and refined. This is an outstanding example from Chevillon, and as Burghound notes below, it could pass for a Nuits St. Georges Village. We have low pricing today on a limited amount.

Tasting note by Burghound "Moderate reduction is sufficient to suppress the underlying fruit though there is both good freshness and verve to the rich, generously proportioned and solidly concentrated middleweight flavors that deliver much better depth and persistence than is typical for the genre plus it will age. This could easily pass for a villages Nuits."
