$129.99
2019 Domaine Pavelot (Jean-Marc et Hugues) Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode 1.5L
Magums from Pavelot are rare, and we have the only 2019s in this format available right now. One of the top wines from Savigny-Les-Beaune, Pavelot's Dominode is typically one of the all-stars of the village. Half of Pavlot's piece of La Dominode is over 80 years old, with the other half around 40. It's a classic, traditional, and vineyard-driven beauty that defines elegant rusticity and has a long track record of being one of the Crus to buy among Burgundy collectors. These are generally wines that show their best with some cellar time, and the 2019 rendition is one of the best of all time. Dominode is a structured, deep, terroir-driven wine with the classic Burgundian aspects that make these wines from Pavelot so great. An excellent buy in magnum, this is only getting better as time goes on, and at no upcharge over the 750s, it's a fantastic deal.

Burghound 92-94 points! "A perfumed, ripe and cool nose features notes of red currant, black raspberry, violet and a hint of sandalwood. There is very fine mid-palate density with an abundance of sappy dry extract to the velvety and mouth coating flavors that flash good minerality on the powerful, balanced and hugely long finish. This is marvelous but it's also a buy and forget you own it wine."
