The 2016 is the ultimate follow up to the excellent '15 vintage. 2016 is very classic, giving it a slight leg up on the previous year, and while it might not be able to be approached as early, it will eventually surpass the 15s in terms of quality and longevity. The straight-up Barbaresco from Produttori is the top pick in terms of excellence for the price, which sees some declassified and young vines from the single vineyard crus. Hard to go wrong here, an outstanding and classic vintage with great pricing!

A blast of sweet red cherry fruit, tobacco, menthol licorice and smoke hits the potent finish. What a wine!"
