A complete surprise and one of the best Roses we have ever tasted. This wine comes from the old Clair dau estate that Jadot bought several years ago. The vineyard used is explicitly farmed to make Rose which is very uncommon in Burgundy, with many producers using fruit that is grown for red wine, producing wines that seem like a bit of an afterthought. This is anything but that and is made with 100% Pinot Noir. There are beautiful aromas of red berries, orange zest, minerals, underbrush, and cherry pith. The palate is expansive with palate-staining depth and a whiplash of a finish that lingers with tons of dry extract and a touch of saline and dried red fruit. Like the most incredible Roses, this should effortlessly age a few years with no issue. This is a monumental effort and one of the best Pinot Noir Roses we have tasted and is highly recommended for the Pinot Lover.
