2015 Domaine Potinet-Ampeau Bourgogne Blanc

$39.99
2015 Domaine Potinet-Ampeau Bourgogne Blanc
Potinet-Ampeau has been one of the great sources for back vintage Burgundy, usually released in batches straight from their cellars. This Domaine has always focused on classic structure and longevity, which is why many of these wines are held back and released years later. While we have offered plenty of reds from Potinet-Ampeau in the past, we are offering a white wine today from this address. We recently brought in a case of this on one of our last shipments to try and ended up enjoying all 12 bottles, and none had any signs of premox. However, it was incredibly impressive at this level, and all the bottles we are offering today are coming directly from the cellars from the same lot. It's one of the first back vintage releases we have offered from Poninet Ampeau that is under $100, and we are offering a discount to those who buy three or more to sweeten the deal. This is like a mini Meursault and shows ripe pear and crisp green apple aromas, complemented by subtle hints of toasted almonds and a delicate touch of white flowers. The palate is bright and elegant, with great acidity and flavors of lemon zest and minerals leading to a clean, lingering finish. This is an excellent choice for those who enjoy White Burgundy with age while also being price-conscious. We currently have the only bottles available in the US.
