N.V. Marie-Courtin Champagne Résonance Extra Brut

$59.99
N.V. Marie-Courtin Champagne Résonance Extra Brut

Marie Courtin is a highly sought-after Grower Champagne producer led by Dominique Moreau, who named her establishment after her influential grandmother. Dominique produces exceptional Champagnes in the Aube region, primarily using Pinot Noir, and follows Bio-dynamic farming principles to get the most site-driven expression from her wines. Her production is small, with less than 50,000 bottles a year, but her Champagnes are remarkable for their quality and vineyard character. Today, we have the Resonance, which is a fantastic nonvintage cuvee from Marie Courtin. 100% Pinot Noir, the fruit for this Champagne is hand-harvested from 40-year-old massale-selection vines in a single vineyard in Polisot (Côte des Bars), grown on clay-limestone soils with Kimmeridgian bands. Biodynamically farmed, fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, and aged 24-30 months sur lattes with zero dosage, letting the richness and ripeness of fruit contribute while not masking any of the minerality of the terroir. We have a limited amount at this great price, and for those serious about Grower Champagne, this is definitely one to grab.

Antonio Galloni 92 pts! "The NV (2020) Extra Brut Resonance is a delight. Brisk, finely cut and nuanced, the Resonance is a super-classic wine for the estate. Pear, white flowers, chalk and white pepper all race across the palate. The balance here is simply impeccable. No dosage. Disgorged: November 2023. (Drink between 2024 - 2031)
